Alden Richards addresses ‘dirty finger’ video featuring Juancho Trivino

‘Pambansang Bae’ Alden Richards admitted he was surprised when he saw the “dirty finger” video featuring fellow Kapuso actor Juancho Trivino.

Fans of Alden were enraged by the controversial video which showed Juancho seemingly raising both of his middle fingers at an endorsement poster of their idol. This resulted in a huge backlash for Juancho, whom AlDub fans referred to as a mere “D-List actor.”

In an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Alden Richards said he was surprised when he first saw the video.

The ‘Pambansang Bae’ said:

“Nagulat po ako, siyempre nakita ko po ang video. Parang, ‘Bakit mo ginanun?’ Pero later on naman po, parang… Hindi po kasi ako mahilig magpalaki ng mga bagay na hindi naman kailangan palakihin at hindi kailangan pagtaniman ng sama ng loob.”

Yesterday, March 20, Juancho Trivino released an official statement on Instagram apologizing to Alden Richards and everyone else who was affected by his video. According to him, his ‘dirty finger’ signs were not meant for the ‘Pambansang Bae’. The Kapuso actor added that his fans can now expect a better version of himself from him.

Alden Richards said it would be better if people just prayed for the issue to die down. He added that it wasn’t a big deal for him, and that people should respect Juancho’s apology.
