The MegaStar Sharon Cuneta was a mega proud mother on her Instagram post last March 17. On a snap that she shared on the social media platform, she expressed how proud she is for her daughter Miel Pangilinan who managed to lose 35 pounds after seven months on a doctor-supervised diet program.
She wrote the caption,
“OMG. My pride is overflowing… it’s taken this girl of mine 7 months from the time she was 12 until now that she is 13 to lose 35 lbs. on her doctor-supervised diet program! And she has just a teeny-tiny bit left na lang to lose. Wait for her. She’ll take your breath away when she comes out in public and performs! When? Secret pa..!!!”
Based on Sharon’s caption, it seems like the 13-year old Miel, who is the youngest daughter of Sharon with husband Senator Kiko Pangilinan, is set to conquer the spotlight of showbiz soon just like her eldest sister KC Concepcion.
The Megastar has been very open about her personal issues and struggles in life which she usually shares on social media. One of these is her struggle in losing weight after she was bashed and bombarded with negative reactions by netizens. In 2016, Sharon finally decided to start her fitness journey. On a Facebook post she explained that she is not doing this to silence her bashers but instead, for her to have a long and healthy life. Aside from that, she dedicated her journey to her family and fans who have been with her in every step of the way.
“Two years after I started changing my lifestyle and eating habits. I was and still am doing it for ME.
And I want to live a long, healthy life for and with my children and future grandchildren. And for my fans – because I knew I kept failing whenever I tried to lose weight and get back to fighting form,” she wrote.
