Video of husband hitting his wife in public goes viral

This incident caught on camera by a netizen named Richar Guinucay showing violence between a husband and wife is making buzz in social media.

It’s a hard pill to swallow, but it doesn’t make it any less true. Battery within married couples still exist to date, and perhaps has gotten even worse. More often than not, this is carried out in the privacy of their own homes, shut from the eyes and scrutiny of the public. Sometimes, however, violence between husbands and wives can happen before our very eyes right when we least expect it.

Take this incident caught by a certain Richard Guinucay on his camera phone.

Last Sunday, April 8, the concerned netizen took to Facebook to share a 1-minute clip of a husband beating his wife in public. While there was no context provided, it was pretty clear that the couple was arguing about the former’s jeepney.

In the video, the man was obviously forcing his wife to get inside the vehicle as they were in the middle of the road, but the latter refused. He then unleashed his anger and frustration on her through a series of slaps, punches, hair pulling, and a furious tongue lashing. At one point, the husband, who couldn’t be held back, even threw her mobile phone to the ground.

Soon enough, a traffic enforcer and a few onlookers approached the couple. Seeing that this was her opportunity to escape, the wife then immediately went inside a nearby taxi.

Even in the presence of a peace officer, the husband didn’t hold back from cursing at his wife, before driving away with his jeepney.

“P******** mo. Ikinahihiya mo ako sa trabaho ko. P******** mo talaga.”

Meanwhile, the man has since drawn flak from the public, with netizens arguing that they didn’t need context to know that what he did to his wife was wrong. Even Richard himself condemned the husband by encouraging others to share the clip for it to reach the authorities.

Sad Story: OFW in Kuwait seeks help after being denied salary for 14 years

We are not unaware of the suffering and sacrifice every OFW braves everyday of their lives outside the Philippines. They slave off far from their loved ones. Their only solace remains in the fact that at least, they are able to effectively provide for their loved ones back at home.

Corazon Uyaw, an OFW in Kuwait, surely had these things in mind when she flew to the distant country, away from her family and friends. After 14 long years in Kuwait, she is finally coming home. However, what she allegedly experienced at the hands of her employers in Kuwait doesn’t make any of her sacrifices worth it.

See, according to Nanay Corazon, she got sent away by her employers without paying for her services over the past 14 years.

The domestic helper apparently asked for her passport as she wanted to come home already. She informed her employers that she is already experiencing numerous pains and aches on her body, which is why she would prefer to come back home.

The employers of this hardworking woman refused to hand over her passport at first. When she insisted to get her passport back, they reportedly told her they didn’t have the money to pay for her years in service.

Fortunately, Nanay Corazon was still able to book her flight back to the Philippines. It’s just really heartbreaking that she doesn’t even have a single penny to show for the whole time she struggled as an OFW in Kuwait.

A concerned citizen, Jack Ebaya, found Nanay Corazon and learned of her story. He very kindly helped Corazon hail a cab to the Embassy, where she hopes to seek assistance in her case. Luckily, she will be able to get the help she needs, and her employers be asked to pay the whole amount of the salary she is entitled to.

Netizens had mixed reactions upon hearing Nanay Corazon’s story.
