Netizen warns public about fraud seller in an online shopping platform

We have witnessed how the internet revolutionized business process and retailing. From actual mall shopping, people are migrating to online shopping platforms such as LAZADA, Zalora, and Shopee, to name a few, wherein customers can easily browse and select products of their choice without moving physically. However, this hassle-free shopping has its own risks, as these platforms also serve as avenues for scammers wherein they could perform their tricks and schemes.

Recently, we saw a Facebook netizen who became a victim of an online shopping fraud. Lou Jose, a Facebook netizen and LAZADA user, detailed her shopping experience in the said platform to alert the public to online fraud sellers.

Lou said that she ordered a television unit and paid the item using her debit card. When the item was shipped, she was surprised not to see her television, but a mere USB cord and a letter indicating that her purchased appliance was already out of stock.

“Nagorder po ako sa Lazada ng Smart TV 32 inches Ship from Overseas Direct from China.. Ung payment tru debit Card.

The victim also extended her plight to the company itself, but to her dismay, the online shopping platform is not yet responding to her case.

Netizens dropped their personal experiences in the online platform, as well as suggestions to the victim in the comments section of the post.
